The MONASTIC®
THE PRESTIGE OF ANTIQUE GLASS
Transparency, color, vibration and technical performance: offering you tailor-made solutions to enhance your heritage.
A CUSTOM-MADE CREATION BY MP VITRAGE
Our team designs, manufactures, and refines innovative products in its workshop, capable of integrating into the most prestigious projects. Monastic® glass, our latest creation, was developed to meet the aesthetic requirements of our clients. Our goal: to recreate the look, vibrancy, and texture of antique glass, while adapting to your budget.
Monastic® glass has many advantages. It allows:
-
to provide a result close to real blown glass at more accessible budgets,
-
to rediscover the aesthetics of old glasses whose manufacture has disappeared (mirrors for example),
-
to produce large formats in different thicknesses (2, 3 and 4 mm).
Monastic® glass is ideal for architectural projects aimed at restoring or preserving the lustre of building facades dating from the 15th to the early 20th century. Monastic® glass has already been approved and adopted for listed and registered monuments by numerous chief architects of historic monuments and heritage architects.
The multiple assembly possibilities offered by Monastic® glass, as well as its thickness/performance ratio, make it possible to meet all the required requirements (thin double glazing for example): thermal, acoustic, security, UV blocking, solar control, etc.
THICKNESSES: 2 mm - 3 mm - 4 mm
DIMENSIONS: 3000 x 1200 mm
Playing subtly with the reflection of light, the deformation of Monastic® glass preserves the rendering of the facades of ancient monuments and perfectly meets the requirements of buildings in France. Transparent from the inside, it preserves the comfort of users. Monastic® glass is an extra clear glass available in 2 finishes: Grand Monastic®, which has a wider deformation, similar to mirrors; Monastic®, which is similar to the glasses used in the 19th century; Vieux Monastic®, whose rendering is very close to the blown glasses made in the Middle Ages until the 18th century.
